We meet at Mosman Wharf and take the walking track to Sydney. We drop into the newly opened HMAS Platypus sub base with great views and stairs then head onto Kirribilli and over the Sydney Harbour Bridge, walking to Mrs Macquarie Chair. A quick coffee at the Quay before catching the ferry back to Mosman.

On today's hike we will be going for a stretch out. We will set out towards Dobroyd Point. Subject to weather we will explore the old squatters cottages or do some sand walking.
We might include a staircase or two. This is the picturesque Sydney coastline and trails that we can use to build our hiking fitness and strength. We will cover between 9 to 10 kms.

You may not find the street number easily, its about 950M from the Forest Way turnoff. Please look for fellow hikers cars. (Sonia's Car R5ULTS).
We've been out on this trail several times now and it has everything, a management trail to warm up, some hills to raise the heart rate, a descent length to test your endurance, bike trails paths to entertain you and views to die for, and it all takes place in the Garigal National Park. In total around 10KM hike; I call this a Level 9 Hike
Allow around 3.5hours for the Hike and stretching.

Warrimoo Track, St Ives Chase

HIKEFit will meet at the car park at the beginning of the national park, at the very end of Warrimoo Ave, St Ives Chase.
We will hike along this trail for several KM until we come to a steep descent that takes us to lookout over Cowan Creek. We use our balance skills and head down to the creek for our half way break.
Of course, to get back to the cars, we need to traverse back up the bush trail and the steep management trail .
This is a great trail to test our speed on the flat and our hearts on the hills.

This wonderful hike takes place around the waters of Castlecrag. It It is also a great opportunity for new hikers to join us. This is a relatively short hike, but has plenty of hills to tease you .
We will meet at the Castlecrag shops on Edinburgh nowhere and walk up and down around the water and through magnificent natural forests. As we start to head back to the car, I tempt you with this challenging 300+ steps hidden water edge. NOT to be missed !!
This is great hike for those starting on our HIKEFit program. I call this a level 3 hike, but at 7km and with plenty of steps, you might think differently.

Davidson Pipeline with City Views, St Ives

HIKEFit will meet at the beginning of Davidson Trail in Davidson at 6.45 am. We first descend into Garigal National Park via a very Steep Path (poles are recommended). This is a beautiful loop track that allows us a snack stop half way through our Hike at The Cascades. We then head back to the car via a steep management trail and some street walking. In total approx. 8KM hike, 150M in ascent and descent (level 6).
Allow around 2.5hours for the Hike and stretching. If you have time at the end, you can practice your 'Hills Climbs' on this hike.
If you are wanting to try our hikes but worried about this one as your First, you can park at the exit point of the park and reduce the hike by 2KM. Please talk to me about this option.

Wellington Views, Lindfield

We will start our hike in Lindfield and walk around the waters of Middle Harbour. We start on a little track called the Two Creeks track then head into the Bush with great views. For those keen on raising their heart rate we offer you "The Wellington Views", you can take these steps (at your own pace) up to a magnificent lookout.
We return along the Two Creeks track. Depending upon how we are feeling we will exit via a management trail or up another bush track.
We head back to the cars with some street walking. You can park at the end point, taking 2 km of the hike (I'll arrange car pooling).
In total approx. 8KM walk, level 4

Lane Cove Caves, Lanecove

HIKEFit will meet on Lady Game Drive and head into the Lane Cove National Park and walk a management trail till we reach a fabulous bush trail.
The aim is to reach the Waterpond 4km in, we will stop for a snack and then return via the same path. In total approx. 8KM walk with 200m ascent and 250m descent. I call this a LEVEL 4.5 /10 walk.
Allow around 2.5hours for the Hike and stretching.

This session will take us around historic Middle Head. With views of North and South Heads, the panoramic view extends to the Eastern Suburbs, Middle Harbour and Manly.
There are many bush track options for finding hidden caves and beautiful beaches. A combination of distance and hills to keep the heart beat racing.

HIKEFit will meet at the car park of Acron Oval. We will walk down a steep management trail meandering our way through the National park. After a while we will see the cascades and then we will traverse up and down through different trails, to keep our heart rate and legs working.
I found a new exit when we last did this in Feb, the exit is a fabulous scramble and the "street hillclimb" is a nice way to end. This 9km Hike should take us 3 hours with stretching. As we start on a management trail, I am suggesting meeting at 6.30am in low light, but you'll appreciate not walking in the heat on that last hill.
